About the Event

As an added benefit for our Read Write Discover community, tutors and parents alike, we are hosting a college and career panel led by a group of college students and working professionals. They will share their own experiences with college, with panelists enrolled at community college, in-state college, and out-of-state college. Tutors and coordinators will learn about personal college application stories and hear advice, while parents will learn more about the experience for their children. We'll also cover choosing a major, choosing a career, and transitioning into working life.

Our panelists are:

Dennis Chang, alumnus of San Francisco State University, working as a Project Assistant at the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy.

Michelle Tran, incoming sophomore at Evergreen Valley College majoring in Business Administration.

Anjali Thontakudi, incoming sophomore at Carnegie Mellon University majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a CS concentration and double majoring in Engineering and Public Policy.

Ashley Yung, incoming freshman at University of California Irvine interested in education, psychology, and computer science.

Join us to learn from our amazing panelists!
