About the role:
Read Write Discover is searching for a highly-motivated volunteer Program Manager to lead our programs to success! If the opportunity to mentor the next generation of Program Coordinators excites you, keep reading!
You will work closely with Read Write Discover’s Leadership Team to build a strong program foundation and innovate the way our program operates. You are the supporter, motivator, advice-giver, and logistical expert our Program Coordinators will rely upon and look to for leadership.
How you'll make an impact:
Recruit, interview, manage, and mentor Program Coordinators to lead successful programs at their specific program location(s)
Participate in monthly Program Manager meetings and Leadership Team meetings
Cascade information to ensure your programs are running smoothly and efficiently
Provide and develop resources to share with Program Coordinators as they navigate building their program
Lead check-in meetings to guarantee goals and milestones are being achieved for Program Coordinators and the program site
Motivate and engage Program Coordinators by sharing advice and positive reinforcement to strengthen your manager-coordinator relationship
Provide any logistical support to the program, as needed (e.g., cross-program collaboration, joining task forces/committees, etc.)
What we're looking for:
5+ months of experience building a program
Experience collaborating and working with a large team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience communicating with people of all ages
Strong interpersonal skills, while remaining goal- and data-driven
Able to adapt to any situation and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
Able to commit to at least ten months (November 2021 to August 2022) of volunteerism for Read Write Discover
